Filipino tenor Mark Christian Bautista was a prize winner for several classical vocal competitions in the United Kingdom, including 1st prize at the Festival Singing Competition – Dean and Chadlington Summer Music Festival 2019, “Dvořák Society for Czech and Slovak Music Prize” at the Emmy Destinn Young Singers Award 2019 and the 2nd prize at the Pendine International Voice of the Future competition at the 72nd Llangollen International Musical Eistedfodd 2018 in Wales, UK.

In Manila, he was a tenor soloist for the Manila Symphony Orchestra and performed in several classical concerts and recitals on Philippine stages such as the Ayala Museum, Meralco Theatre, Benilde SDA Theatre, Theatre of Solaire, Aliw Theatre, Philamlife Auditorium and Cultural Centre of the Philippines. He is an alumnus of the Viva Voce Voice Labs, a Filipino young artist opera studio under its Artistic Directors Camille Lopez-Molina and Pablo Molina.

Some of his notable solo tenor debut in Europe includes a performance with the Sinfonisches Orchester Arbon and conductor Leo Gschwend in Arbon, Switzerland as part of the SchlosoffKonzerte Arbon 2022 : VERDI.  Most recently, he performed his Glyndebourne debut with conductor Aidan Oliver and the Glyndebourne Chorus / Sinfonia for the Glyndebourne Christmas Concert 2023.

He is a co-founder of The Virtual Opera Studio, a group dedicated to support virtual performances, and offers virtual opportunities for singers around the world.

He is an alumnus of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Opera Course under the tutelage of Professor Susan Waters in London, UK.
